Cha: An Asian Literary Journal invites suggestions of titles—books, films, or other cultural productions—for review or feature in the journal during the second half of the year and into 2026. Please send short pitches (no more than 150 words) that spotlight recent works, though we also enthusiastically welcome engagements with overlooked or rediscovered works from a wider temporal archive—including classics reread in fresh or unexpected ways.
Pitches may be submitted by publishers, writers proposing their own works, or readers and reviewers who wish to champion the creations of others. Reviews and features can be written in a range of styles—from more scholarly approaches to pieces aimed at a general readership, or something in between. Beyond conventional reviews, we also encourage proposals for longer features, which may include a review, an interview with the author, an excerpt from the work, and/or an essay by the author.
Please send your pitches to cha@asiancha.com with “Pitch” in the subject line.
